Old Town Albuquerque
Some People consider a vacation a trip to a big city, like New York. Others love a few days on a warm beach in the Caribbean. Then there are those who love a week or two lounging out on a cruise ship. What some people do not consider, and certainly should, is a trip to see some of the most historic sites than the great U.S. has to offer.
Take for example the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico. More specifically, Old Town Albuquerque, which has some serious history behind it. Founded in 1706 by Governor Francisco Cuervo y Valdez, Old Town was built around the plaza that still exists today. There are over 150 stores to visit while shopping for your most desired souvenirs from the great Southwest. As for dining, Old Town has a wide array of establishments to choose from. Stop at Garduno’s for authentic Mexican, or High Noon Restaurant & Saloon for one of the most amazing steaks you will ever have! There is something to please all pallets.
